The overall goal is to push the student toward a higher reading level. This kind of technology works great in the classroom because the teacher can’t work with each child independently because of the class size. Elementary school students also use fun, interactive math websites to help get kids excited about math while they practice their math skills and concepts. Once the teacher has used direct instruction to teach students how a particular math concept works, students are put on the computer to practice. Students have a lot more fun working on the computer and can even play games that allow them to rack up points or print certificates for their efforts. These math websites are great ways to make students want to learn math. These sites also help students who are afraid of math because the sites make a hard subject a little easier.
